A synod in the Holy Land

In 2015, Pope Francis announced, “The journey of synodality is the journey that God wants from his church in the third millennium. A synodal church is a listening church, aware that listening is more than hearing. It is a reciprocal listening in which each one has something to learn.”

However, what does this mean for us, Catholics in the Holy Land? It means embarking on a process of renewal at every level of our Church. Being summoned to a synod is to be called to set off on a journey. We are invited to walk together as a community, knowing full well that Christ walks with us, that he is among us

Faces and words

From Nazareth to Beer Sheba, passing through Bethlehem or Taybeh, our team set off to meet the communities which constitute the many facets of the Church of the Holy Land.
